For nearly 20 years, the Holloway Group has been advancing cutting-edge research and applications related to air quality, energy, transportation, climate, and public health. Each project is designed to meet partner information needs and/or produce original research for publication in top journals.

We welcome new partnerships where our research methods can advance real-world problems and solutions.

We are an air quality group based in the Nelson Institute Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE) that incorporates scientists and students from a wide range of fields. We have a multidisciplinary team focused on advancing air quality research to inform science and policy.

SAGE is a multidisciplinary research center in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at UW-Madison, with about fifty faculty, scientists, students, and staff examining cutting-edge environmental challenges and solutions. The Nelson Institute is an institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that builds partnerships to synergize and sustain excellence in the interdisciplinary research, teaching, and service that make the University of Wisconsin-Madison a world leader in addressing environmental challenges.

The Holloway Group is funded through the University of Wisconsin-Madison by grants, gifts and contracts from a range of organizations. Past support has come from NASA, EPA, NSF, NIH, the Global Philanthropy Partnership and other supporters.
