Paid Undergraduate Hourly Positions in Design, Art, and Communication
The Holloway Group is often looking to hire students with art, design, and communication skills for ongoing projects. Students in these roles may contribute to projects related to science outreach, business engagement, website management, communications, and related tasks.
Interested students should send a resume and portfolio to Prof. Holloway at taholloway@wisc.edu.
For-Credit and Paid Undergraduate Research
Undergraduates at UW–Madison interested in air quality research are welcome to contact Prof. Tracey Holloway.
Accepted undergraduate researchers in the Holloway Group register for ES 401: Advanced Air Quality Analysis, a 3-credit course that integrates students into the lab group, builds skills in advanced research methods, and supports each student’s active participation in a group or individual research project. Students who wish to continue with the group may take ES 401 across multiple semesters.
As research funding is available, students who have completed one semester of ES 401 may be eligible for paid hourly research positions or paid internships.
Paid and Unpaid Graduate Student Opportunities
Graduate students get involved in the Holloway Group through multiple pathways. Prospective Ph.D. and M.S. students are encouraged to formally apply to UW–Madison through the Nelson Institute or the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, and then email Prof. Holloway.
All Ph.D. and M.S. applicants will be considered for available funding. Funding varies from year to year, and Prof. Holloway may not recruit new students every fall.
Prof. Holloway also works with professional master’s students in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Professional Master’s Program and the Environmental Observation and Informatics Professional Master’s Program. These students typically work for course credit, with paid hourly support available when funding allows.
Postdoctoral Researchers, Interns, and Other Staff
At this time, the Holloway Group is not hiring for any staff or postdoctoral positions.
Candidates for post-bachelor’s or post-M.S. paid internship positions — full-time and in person — may be considered depending on funding and fit with background and interests.
Interested candidates should send a resume and email to Prof. Holloway at taholloway@wisc.edu.
